The quality of the drive system is only as good as its weakest link. This includes flywheel and magnet carrier, pulleys, tension system, belt, cranks and pedals. A heavy flywheel alone won’t give you the smooth pedaling feel because weight is only part of a quality flywheel - size, weight distribution, pulley ratios and the location of the conductive ring all need to be considered, so we started with an oversized 305 mm flywheel over 12” in diameter and we put the conductive ring on the outside of the flywheel to maximize the inertia and the coverage area of the conductive ring. The LifeSpan® C3 Upright Bike uses a 3 piece crank set, high quality sealed bearings, reinforced Poly-V belt and high quality pedals to transfer your workout energy quietly and smoothly to the flywheel and the oversized magnet carrier that provides frictionless resistance. The result is a durable system with no weak links.
The LifeSpan® C3 Upright Bike comfort comes from the overisized plush seats that you don't appreciate until you sit down for a workout. It comes from paying close attention to details like accessibility to water bottle holders, storage trays and tension adjustment knobs. It comes from counterbalanced pedals with large surface areas so they are easy on the feet, and it comes from correct body positioning so your workout is easy on the knees, hips and lower back.
